The latest batch of pieces are entering the kiln today.
Two month's work. The last of the season.
In September new pieces will be made hopefully with a renewed inspiration.

My favourite and maybe my best.

June 21. Summer Solstice.

"The artist seeks contact with his intuitive sense of the gods, but in order to create his work, he cannot stay in this seductive and incorporeal realm. He must return to the material world in order to do his work. It's the artist's responsibility to balance mystical communication and the labor of creation."

An old friend on its way to new shores.
I painted him on the reverse side of an APC paper bag.
It must have been in the mid 1990's.
I've had the bad habit not to date my works,
I'm doing it now.
Sailors, have been an obsession of mine all my life,
possibly because I have this fantasy about life at sea,
the freedom of it, the comfort of feeling out of reach from the world.
The style of this gouache, not a watercolour for once, was inspired by the
early works of Picasso, hence the massive hand holding the shell.
It's been on my wall in Paris, rue Geoffroy l'Angevin
and then was stored away ever since we moved in 2002.
It has now been purchased by my old friend Adrien,
a third addition to what he has collected from me.

I had this idea in mind for a while and I'm not sure it will work but now it's done and out of the way.
I thought of Pasolini's Medea.

My guitar Alhambra model 2C
made in Spain.
We two are inseparable.

The garden today.
It's been a rainy spring.
